Position Summary:

Performs duties in support of the 4-H program under the direction of the Extension Educator. Duties include assisting in organizing and providing support to community 4-H clubs, after school programs, in-school 4-H programs, Jr. 4-H camp programs, recruitment and management of 4-H volunteers and preparing written materials and date using a computer.

Required Qualifications:

Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills; experience working with the public; ability to organize and effectively implement Extension programs under the direction of and Extension Agent; demonstrated ability to meet deadlines; to work independently; ability to recruit volunteers; experience interacting effectively with youth and adults; familiarity and working experience with computers including Windows and Microsoft Word; ability to work flexible hours to include some nights and weekends. Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference given for knowledge and background in teaching and knowledge or experience with 4-H programming.
