Position Summary:

Office Services Assistant provides administrative and program support to the Travel and Events Coordinator, and general office support. Responsibilities include independently and accurately processing a high volume of college fair and panel invitations, database management, and preparing and shipping recruitment materials in a timely manner. Provides program support for all major public events including preparing registration materials, program set-up and providing support the day of the program. Occasional weekend work required.

Required Qualifications:

- Administrative and/or customer service experience in an academic or professional office environment.
- Experience with computer functions such as data entry and word processing.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, and handle mass mailings and filing.
- Strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently with careful attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Must be dependable, approachable, and present a professional image in representing the university to prospective families and university staff members.
- Strong multi-tasking, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Must possess the ability to be flexible, and to quickly and smoothly handle unanticipated changes and needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Must be able to safely move and handle items weighing up to 40 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Proficiency with software such as Microsoft Suite.
- Experience with event planning support such as preparing registration materials and event set-up.
