Position Summary:

The Finance Information Technology department seeks an Information Security Manager that will be responsible for protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability (security) of the senior management’s information assets and IT resources. The Security Manager will lead efforts to improve security awareness, architect and implement secure technology solutions, and assist with other operational support/projects as assigned. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver with a desire to identify issues and formulate solutions that reduce risk and align with organizational strategies.

Key responsibilities of this position include:
• Design, recommend and implement business processes and technologies that enhance the information security of the senior management area.
• Enhance security awareness by providing employee orientation, educational programs and on-going communication to end-users.
• Act as the departmental contact for any issues related to information security including incident response and recovery.
• Ensure the senior management is compliant with relevant policies, security standards and regulatory guidance.
• Serve as a backup to the operational team, assisting with tier two help desk support and projects when workload requires.
• Present security concepts, technologies and plans to departmental constituents including senior leadership.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of information security threats, vulnerabilities, practices, principles and solutions.
• Uphold the universal competencies of teamwork, maintaining a safe and secure work environment and diversity commitment.

Required Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, computer information systems, information science and security, or related field. Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field is acceptable with demonstrated information security knowledge and experience;
• Demonstrated progressive responsibility of information technology or information security work experience;
• Experience in information technology risk assessment and analysis methodologies;
• Technical proficiency in a Windows operating environment including backup and recovery, active directory and group policy experience;
• A customer service orientation;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in understandable business terms.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in related field;
• Certification(s) in information security and/or information security management;
• Broad technical experience configuring, managing and monitoring information systems and applications, including client systems, network devices, and security-specific systems and applications (e.g. security information and event management software) ;
• Windows server configuration and support experience including virtualization;
