Position Summary:

Assists in designing and implementing web applications (full stack) for use by industry professionals to control and monitor internal systems. This involves managing the interchange of data amongst servers, users, and other machines. Improve on existing web applications by working with users to design pages that meet their needs. Sites need to be compatible with all browsers and use current design standards. Need to be capable of quick turnaround from requirements to a fully functioning site. Independently evaluates, selects and applies software design principles, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications. Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position or equivalent graduate level educations.

Directions given and received:
Independently performs most assignments with instructions on global objectives and general results expected. Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and work is reviewed for application of sound professional judgment. May supervise/mentor/provide training and coordinate the work of graduate research assistants, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments.

Required Qualifications:

-M.S. degree in Computer Science or engineering comparable with exception for a lesser degree with significant related experience.
-Proficient in back-end development using languages such as Java, Nodejs, PHP, and Ruby
-Proficient in client side development using languages such as HTML5, CSS, javascript
-Experience with AngularJS a plus
-Experience interfacing various computer components, firmware and programming
