Position Summary:

This position serves as the first point of contact to the Thomas E. Cook Counseling Center by answering phones, checking in clients, greeting and directing visitors, scheduling appointments, responding to inquiries by students, faculty, outside providers and parents regarding our services. Will also maintain electronic medical records for clients as well as appointment schedules for staff psychologists, counselors, nursing staff and psychiatrists.

Required Qualifications:

Successful candidate must have general office support experience in an academic or professional environment; proficiency with standard office computer functions such as word processing, spreadsheets, email and internet navigation; experience with current office software such as Microsoft Office; experience directing and/or checking-in clients/visitors, scheduling appointments, and answering phones; ability to work with and prioritize confidential materials and multitask in a busy work environment; strong organizational and interpersonal skills a must.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous receptionist experience in a business or professional environment.
