This applicant pool fulfills the needs of a variety of positions for Student Engagement & Campus Life with a high level of customer satisfaction. Shifts vary by position and area and may include early morning, day, evening, night, weekend hours, and holiday hours.
Positions in the following areas are frequently available: BreakZone; Event Planning; Information Services; Johnston Student Center; Squires Student Center; Graduate Life Center; Perspective Gallery; Ticket Office; Passport Office; War Memorial Chapel; and Virginia Tech Off Campus Housing Office.

Required Qualifications:

All positions require excellent customer service and interpersonal skills for interaction with diverse groups of people in a friendly manner in person and/or by phone.
Some positions may require specialized skills and/or knowledge of basic safety rules.
Cashier positions require previous cash handling experience, the ability to operate a cash register, and complete related reports with a high degree of accuracy.
Criminal background check required for some positions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Customer service experience is helpful. Previous experience working as part of a team. Previous experience in leading / directing groups and/or individuals.
