Position Summary:

Perform public assistance functions of the NVC Resource Center/Library, including general reference, circulation, and reserve. Participate in planning and operations of branch library services. Assist the public with the use of resources available at the NVC Resource Center and through the University Libraries system.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in the library sciences.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to understand and implement procedures.
• Ability to work well with a wide variety of people and assist the public, often
under pressure.
• Ability to organize workflow and communicate directions.
• Knowledge of electronic bibliographic databases and tools.
• Experience with technology driven resources.
• Knowledge of standard reference tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in library science or related field.
• Experience instructing or training.
• Experience with an integrated library system.
• Knowledge of citation manager.
• Knowledge of discovery tools.
• Experience in an academic library setting.
