Position Summary:

To provide fiscal support to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) through the collection of revenues. The primary emphasis of the position is to insure compliance with VTH financial policy through audit of all fees, processing of medical records for discharge, closing invoices, receiving payments, computer data entry into the VTH accounting system, delivering high quality customer service to both clients and staff, direction of student wage staff, and support of the Manager of the Business Office with collections and special projects.

Required Qualifications:

Experience in accounting principles and practices; experience in detailed financial record keeping, file management and data entry; experience working with the public; ability to multi-task and work under pressure with strict deadlines; good communications skills essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a medical billing office, and/or experience with an automated billing system. An associates or bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent training and/or experience preferred.
