Position Summary:

Looking for a creative and passionate Front-End Web Developer with hands-on experience in building component-based Web UI with modern Javascript frameworks such as React, AngularJS, Vue, Polymer, etc. This position develops, maintains and supports front-end facing software for the Virginia Cyber Range.
The successful candidate will apply specialized knowledge and concepts to the completion of assigned projects to meet the needs and requirements of the Virginia Cyber Range. Projects will involve development and elaboration of a web UI for a cloud-based deployment, using a microservices backend. Responsibilities will range from working independently on multiple complex projects to serving as a technical consultant or a leader of projects. Collaborates effectively with team members to ensure success of projects and systems.
The successful candidate must have the ability to communicate well, have a strong work ethic and organization skills to work independently with minimal supervision, able to adapt quickly to changing requirements

Required Qualifications:

- B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related field, and/or equivalent education and work experience
- Understanding of component-based common web application architecture development model
- Proficiency with Git source code version control
- Experience developing front-end web applications with component- based JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS, AngularJS/Angular 2, Vue.js or similar technologies
- Experience with HTML5 Web development with CSS3 and JavaScript
- Creative thinker with strong troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Strong understanding of web standards, cross-browser compatibility, and CSS-based design
- Significant experience developing front-end web applications within component based Javascript framework ReactJS/Redux with Flow (React compatible type-safety mechanism)
- Experience developing front-end web applications with AngularJS javascript library framework with Typescript (type-safety mechanism)
- Experience with developing and deploying to commodity cloud provider environments such as AWS, Heroku, Linode, GCE, Azure, etc.
- Experience with Agile development methodology & Test Driven development is a plus
