Position Summary:

Preston’s Restaurant, a fine dining establishment located within The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center is seeking a F&B Supervisor. The successful candidate will assist with the supervision of the restaurant staff and support to the restaurant operations to include the dining room, lounge and private dining operations. Maintain a strong front of the house presence in order to provide leadership and training to contribute to 100% guest satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have experience in restaurant supervision; experience with cash and credit card handling practices; ability to lead and coach a team, hold employees accountable; must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, guests and business executives from private industry and the university.

Preferred Qualifications:

Supervisory experience in a hotel/restaurant environment; bar supervision or bartending experience; previous experience working in a fine dining environment; knowledge of a point of sale system, preferably Micros; reservations system such as OpenTable
