Position Summary:

This position will provide support for one or more graduate programs in the Pamplin College of Business in Northern Virginia, reporting to a program director. Due to growth in the MBA and Master of Information Technology programs, multiple positions may be hired from this posting. Duties may include providing support in program administration, marketing and communications, recruitment, academic support of students and faculty.

We are seeking candidates with demonstrated proficiencies in two or more of the following areas (assigned tasks may include but are not limited to):
• Administrative
o Assist with surveys and other reporting functions
o Prepare and process contracts
o Manage financial responsibilities for the program, such as p-card reconciliation

• Marketing and Communications
o Assist with writing/editing copy for digital and print marketing
o Maintain program website

• Recruiting Students
o Field inquiries and advise prospective applicants
o Utilize CRM, such as Hobsons, for prospective database and communications plan

• Admission
o Facilitate the admissions process, including international students
o Onboarding duties including orientation

• Academic Affairs
o Facilitate creation of plan of study, and course registrations using Banner
o Conduct graduation clearance tasks

Required Qualifications:

Experience in a higher education environment; previous program support experience in an academic or professional office environment; highly organized; proficiency with software such as, Microsoft Office Excel, Access and Word; must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well in a team and with the public; ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work collaboratively with others; interact professionally with graduate students and Pamplin Extended Campus Programs staff and faculty.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field; proficiency with Hobsons Connect Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or similar program; experience in handling student records in student database such as Banner; previous experience working with retrieving information and consolidating for reports; web related information entry and retrieval; working knowledge of university academic, fiscal and operational policies and procedures; experience working in an entrepreneurial environment with an “all hands on deck” culture.
