Position Summary:

VTTI is seeking an experienced professional vehicle technician to assist with maintaining, repairing, and detailing a diverse fleet of passenger vehicles, motorcycles, light and heavy- duty trucks, and construction equipment.Receives general direction from Fleet Maintenance Supervisor and CTD staff. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, follow oral and written instructions, and write clear, detailed reports by hand and/or on a PC.
Ideal candidate is motivated to work independently, with minimal supervision.
Promotes and practices safe work habits to achieve an accident free work environment.

Required Qualifications:

-Demonstrated experience performing passenger vehicle and light truck maintenance, diagnosis and repair, at a high level of quality and reliability.
-Demonstrated ability to read, comprehend, and apply information from service and equipment manuals, complicated wiring diagrams and specifications
-Demonstrated experience with OBD II scan tool diagnostics
-Demonstrated basic computer proficiency as required in office applications, such as Microsoft Excel and Word
-Demonstrated experience multi-tasking, trouble-shooting and problem solving skills in a fast -paced environment with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

-ASE or other vehicle technician certification.
-Demonstrated experience maintaining medium/heavy trucks, construction equipment, motorcycles and/or small engine equipment.
-Demonstrated experience maintaining computer based work orders and service records.
-Demonstrated experience detailing vehicles using power polisher.
-Demonstrated fabrication, welding & machining experience.
-CDL and/or motorcycle endorsement.

Must be able to safety lift and carry 80 pounds. May occasionally be required to work in inclement weather conditions. Lift, sit, or stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to obtain and maintain State Inspection License within one (1) year of hire date.
