The Administration and Program Assistant is responsible for coordinating and implementing program planning, financial processing, client services, event planning, and center usage; works with the Virginia Tech Richmond Center and Virginia Tech Hampton Roads Centers faculty and staff to coordinate program implementation; maintains and reconciles financial records using the Banner Financial System; prepares accounting/purchasing forms, travel reimbursements and processes wage payroll.
Previous experience in program and/or event planning, project management, financial processing, and marketing activities. Exceptional customer service, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle numerous projects and details simultaneously and accurately; must be able to manage and handle on-the-spot changes and emergencies. Excellent organizational skills. Command of Outlook and Microsoft Office suite.
Bachelor degree in related field. Experience working within higher education and/or professional development organization. Experience in training and development and/or meeting management.
