The Virginia Tech Department of Population Health Sciences is hiring two new academic year, tenure-track faculty members in the area of epidemiology/veterinary epidemiology. This is part of a new, university-wide emphasis on data analytics and decision sciences (http://provost.vt.edu/destination-areas/da-data.html), specifically expanding a health sciences focus. This initiative will include additional faculty hires in the coming year and future years from across the university, including within the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine (VMCVM; http://www.vetmed.vt.edu/), the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine (VTCSOM; http://medicine.vtc.vt.edu/), Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute (VTCRI; http://research.vtc.vt.edu/), the Biocomplexity Institute (https://www.bi.vt.edu/), and the Department of Statistics (https://www.stat.vt.edu/).
PhD or equivalent training based in epidemiology or veterinary epidemiology.
Additional veterinary, medical or public health degree or experience preferred.
