Position Summary:

This position will provide recruiting and academic support for the Professional Master of Business Administration, Masters of Science in Business Administration (MSBA) with a concentration in Hospitality and Tourism Management, and other academic units within Pamplin College’s Extended Campus Graduate programs in the National Capital region.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
•Assist program directors and faculty on all issues associated with the PMBA and MSBA-HTM, other Pamplin programs;
•Assist in advising prospective and current students on programs, academic information, and application procedures;
• Process prospective student information and respond to inquiries;
• Process applications and supplemental materials;
•Provide data and information necessary for directors to make admission decisions, and process decisions;
•Execute email communication plans for different target groups;
•Enter and maintain all records in database and prepare reports as needed;
•Register students in courses; enter plans of study into Banner;
•Coordinate book orders and syllabi for each term;
•Assist in the organization of summer orientation and events;
•Assist in graduation clearance tasks and prepare graduate application packets;
•Prepare and process GA contracts, and enter payroll information into Banner;
•Process international students documents;
•Complete paperwork for teaching faculty;
•Facilitate classroom and lecture transmission; cooperate with facilities in providing classroom and office space;
•Prepare and maintain graduate student files;
•Coordinate with industry professionals to support and promote programs;
•Maintain and enhance knowledge of relevant software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Adobe Acrobat, Banner, Hokie SPA, and other pertinent software.

Required Qualifications:

Must have administrative experience in an academic or professional office environment; proficiency with Microsoft Office software such as Excel; previous experience interacting with individuals, such as industry professionals, faculty, and prospective students; proven ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously; previous recruiting and/or admissions experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field; advanced proficiency with Hobsons Connect (Database Management System); proficiency with handling student records in databases such as Banner; previous experience recruiting students to a graduate-level program; basic proficiency with HokieSpa and Canvas.
