Position Summary:

The HR Front Desk Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for employees, students and visitors contacting the Human Resources (HR) department. This position performs a wide variety of general clerical and administrative duties and will handle routine requests from employees, student worker and visitors.

Required Qualifications:

-Previous customer service experience and/or receptionist experience with a business or organization.
-Demonstrated skills in the use of personal computers, including experience utilizing software applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
-Experience with standard office equipment such as multi-line telephone systems, copiers, and fax machines.
- Ability to interact with a variety of individuals at various levels within an organization
- Strong attention to detail and task oriented
- Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

-Previous experience receiving, handling and distributing a variety of documents, mail and paperwork.
-Experience scheduling and/or coordinating meetings and/or events.
-Experience working in a university and/or state setting
-Experience working in a human resources department
-Experience working with personnel and/or payroll systems
-Experience working in an administrative support role.
-Experience using large relational database such as Banner
