Position Summary:

This position will provide program and administrative support for the Animal and Poultry Science undergraduate advising office. The position has the following responsibilities:
-Serves as first point of contact for the undergraduate advising office.
-Provides assistance and quality customer service to undergraduate students and faculty.
-Maintains student information/files, student logs and advisor assignments.
-Participates in all aspects of new student orientation.
-Compiles student scholarship applications.
-Coordinates prospective student visits and appropriately direct inquiries.
-Processes student forms and paperwork
-Assists in evaluation of student pathway planners
-Participates in departmental events/recruitment activities as assigned.
-Assists with compilation of recruitment and promotional materials for the department.

Required Qualifications:

B.S. Degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences or relevant field, or combination of education and experience; Experience providing administrative support; Experience utilizing office software applications such as word processing, Excel, PowerPoint; Ability to handle confidential information; Ability to work independently, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills; Ability to interact and communication comfortably with individuals of diverse social, ethnic and educational backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience providing program support in a university setting; Experience working with Banner
