The successfully selected candidate will provide program support for all Health Sciences and Technology initiatives. Primarily, the incumbent will serve as an effective liaison with on and off campus contacts and conduct the activities of the office in a professional, organized, and efficient manner, handling confidential and sensitive matters with utmost discretion and a high level of attention to detail. S/he will coordinate the following with HST administrators as appropriate: 1.) manage and prioritize HST administrators calendars as requested; 2.) schedule individual and group meetings for HST administrators; 3.) assist with scheduling and logistics for HST meetings and special events; 4.) remain in constant communication with VT administration and leadership (deans and VPs) to facilitate their interactions, maintaining flexibility and rescheduling to address emergencies as they arise; 5.) provide administrative support for educational and training initiatives, including receiving and responding to inquiries; 6.) manage all aspects of meeting arrangements to include development of agendas, preparation of meeting materials, catering, and other arrangements as needed; 7.) screen and manage correspondence, inquiries, and reports by routing to relevant staff members in an accurate and timely manner.
Additionally, the incumbent will be expected to provide pivotal support to the AVP for Health Sciences and Technology Outreach with planning, outreach initiatives, and also support the AVP for Health Sciences Education with student-centered programs and initiatives as part of a broader HST vision including special projects, events or conferences.
