The Oestreich lab at the VTCRI aims to define molecular mechanisms by which transcription factors contribute to immune cell differentiation and function. This research involves the application of a number of molecular biology techniques including chromatin immunoprecipitation, RT-PCR, co-immunoprecipitation, high-throughput sequencing, reporter assays, and work involving tissue culture and murine models.
The Oestreich lab is recruiting a Postdoctoral Associate that will be responsible for the design and implementation of research projects that advance the goals of the lab as stated above. The successful applicant will be expected to perform experiments, analyze data, and assist in the preparation of manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication and presentations. The successful applicant will be expected to work both individually and as part of a team. Opportunities to train students and additional junior lab personnel will be provided.
Ph.D. in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a related field. Experience interpreting and compiling data for peer reviewed publications and presentations. Research experience as documented by peer reviewed publications and presentations. Interested candidates must have a strong background in molecular or cellular biology.
